S.G.P.C.’s Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) organized a Guest Lecture on Practical Aspects of Industrial Issues & Labour Laws, for Second Year MMS – HR students on 23rd July 2018 from 3.00 – 6.00 pm. Mr. Bhavik Chheda (Labour Law Consultant & Partner of Chheda Consultancy) was the guest speaker for the event. 

Objectives of the Guest Lecture: 

• a) To make the students understand practical aspects and implications of labor laws, industrial relations. 

• b) Discussion of various cases and experiences explaining the relation between practical and theory. 

The speaker started with basics of industrial relations, labour laws and courts, then discussed various case examples, while highlighting industrial relation and labour law trends. The session was not confined to only topics in syllabus but extra information about other labour laws also was shared. This was followed by a Q&A session. The session received good feedback from the students.
