Prof. Sandhya Kapil Thakkar

With over 15 years of UG and 8 years of PG teaching experience, she brings a strong academic and corporate background, having worked as a Software Developer (.NET C#) at Absolute Software Solutions, Mumbai, and a Windows Developer (VB 6.0) at Idealake Information Technologies for Bombay Stock Exchange. A recipient of multiple accolades, she has successfully completed MHRD training programs in e-content, MOODLE, and MOOCs and won 1st prize for the Teacher’s e-Kit development under PMMMNMTT, Government of India. She has served as a resource person for Progressive and Innovative Technologies in Education and MOOC development, training faculty across esteemed institutions such as St. Xavier’s Institute of Education, Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana College (Pune), S.K. Somaiya College, and others. She has also coordinated MHRD-funded workshops and convened national conferences on IT trends. She has publish research papers in various conferences and seminars. Beyond academics, she has contributed significantly to software development, leading projects such as Inventory Management & CNF systems, ERP solutions, and online library management systems like SIA-Granthalaya and Athenaeum. As a Board of Studies (BOS) member, she actively contributes to curriculum development at Dr. Bhanuben Mahendra Nanavati College, SIES College, and SNDT-affiliated institutions. Additionally, she serves as a resource person for NAAC Data Management, aiding institutions like K.V. Pendharkar College and SIES College in accreditation processes. Her expertise spans academia, software solutions, faculty training, and educational technology, making her a valuable asset in the field of computer science and higher education.
