Her passion for research methodology is truly inspiring!    23 years of diligent postgraduate teaching career in commerce and management and research experience of 10 years.   Publications in more than 60 journals of international and national repute with ISSN and ISBN numbers. 7 impact factor research papers. Evaluated more than 20 PhD theses of several state universities and conducted Vivas.    Recipient of best teacher award at the state level and university level for sincerity and dedicated work in academic and social areas.  Elected senate member of the University of Mumbai.Member of a prestigious group of academic and administrative importance.    Keynote speaker and chief guest and resource persons in more than 100 conferences, seminars, and workshops.   Accolades acclaimed by way of trophies, dignities, and momentums on several academic and social platforms   Key Takeaways: In this session, Dr. Pawar delved deep into research problems. Guest Lecture on Cybersecurity

Guest Lecture on Cybersecurity Shri.D Sivanandhan Sir’s guest session on cybersecurity provided valuable insights into the complex and dynamic world of digital security. His discussion of the evolving threat landscape, the human element in cybersecurity, the role of AI, governance and regulations and the future outlook left the audience with a deeper understanding of the challenges and strategies in safeguarding our digital world. It also served as a timely reminder of the importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding our digital future.  

MMS Induction 2023

MMS Induction 2023 MMS Batch 2023-25  was inaugurated on Tuesday, 5th  Sept, 2023 with the addressal of our In Charge Director MMS Dr. Satvinder Singh Bedi and Dr. Jasbir Kaur In-charge Director PGDM. Directors addressed the students about the dynamic environment of today’s management, history of the institute, its memories and basic discipline.   Students were addressed by Honorable Guest of Honor  Mr. Harish Menon Ex-Vice-President at Tata Sons Ltd, An angel investor & mentor to young professionals. Mr. Harish Menon interacted with students about today’s corporate world and their expectations at the grass root level. She also explained about competencies required from an MBA student irrespective of all specializations i.e. Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations or Information Technology.  Students were guided by Chief Guest Mr. Shantanu Garg Vice President Special Projects (Biz Growth) at Grasim Industries Limited. Mr. Shantanu Garg explained future managers how to approach management course for next two years and skillsets required to be an employable MBA graduate in future.   Last session was of Dr. Sameer Salunkhe (Class Coordinator of MMS) in which Students Handbook was explained in detail, Ms. Anitha Menon Head CDC addressed students about placement policy and rules, Ms. Channpreet Kaur Bhatia (Faculty HR) explained about vision and Mission of the institute. Prof. Bins Mathew (Controller of Examination) addressed students regarding university exam rules and lastly Dr. Kuljit Kalhon (Head Library) gave information regarding library resources available at GNIMS. All these sessions helped students to know culture, basic rules and regulations of the institute.

GYANVARDHINI – SESSION 4 Gyanvardhini Session – Gamification of/in Management Education   Today’s gamification session by Prof. Channpreet Kaur was nothing short of exhilarating! We embarked on an engaging journey that seamlessly blended fun and learning. Participants were actively involved in various challenges and activities that not only piqued their competitive spirit but also enhanced their problem-solving skills and teamwork.    The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as everyone eagerly embraced the gamified approach to tackle complex concepts and tasks. Through this session, we discovered that gamification is not just a tool for engagement but a powerful catalyst for motivation and knowledge retention. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and a sense of accomplishment, leaving everyone excited for the next adventure in our quest for knowledge and skill development.

Distinguished guests graced the occasion, enhancing the overall experience with their knowledge and expertise.   The MCA Induction Program at Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) marked the commencement of the academic journey for the incoming MCA batch of 2023-2025. The program aimed to provide valuable insights and guidance to the students, setting the tone for their educational and professional growth. Distinguished guests graced the occasion, enhancing the overall experience with their knowledge and expertise. Day 1: Exploring IT Careers and Industries The first day of the program featured a series of enlightening sessions: – Dr. (Mrs.) R Srivaramangai elucidated the landscape of “Careers and Industries in IT,” offering valuable insights into potential career paths within the IT sector. – Dr. (Mrs.) Seema Purohit emphasized the significance of interdisciplinary knowledge, highlighting its role in creating versatile skill sets that can lead to diverse career opportunities. – Dr. Gurmukh Advani provided valuable insights into the convergence of “Healthcare and IT” industries, emphasizing their growing importance. His notable statement, “Life works better when you apply the ‘nahi chalta hai’ principle,” resonated with the attendees. – Mr. Ravindra Gupta delved into “AI’s Potential for the Next Billion in India,” igniting curiosity and innovation among the students. Day 2: Fostering Professionalism The second day of the program was dedicated to understanding professionalism and academic alignment: – Dr. Jasbir Kaur discussed the essence of professionalism, stressing the importance of integrity and dedication in the professional world. – Prof. Ifrah Kampoo outlined the academic journey ahead, aligning the curriculum with industry requirements to equip students for success. Day 3: Developing Workplace Skills and Communication Day 3 commenced with a focus on workplace skills and effective communication: – Dr. Neil conducted a session on interpersonal skills at the workplace, offering valuable insights into understanding human psychology. – Prof. Namrata guided students through email etiquette and professional communication, enhancing their workplace communication skills. Day 4: Emphasizing Holistic Wellness and Learning The fourth day began with a balance of physical and intellectual activities: – A lively Zumba session led by Jinhal Shah infused energy into the morning, promoting physical wellness. – This was followed by a serene Yoga session guided by Punita Shah, emphasizing the role of yoga in daily life routines and holistic wellness. – Dr. Kuljeet Kaur conducted a session in the library, encouraging students to explore the vast resources available for academic enrichment. Day 5: Assessments and Self-Belief The final day featured assessments and motivational sessions: – An Employability Test, organized by the Placement Team in collaboration with SHL, assessed students’ strengths and areas for improvement. – After a refreshing lunch break, students engaged in various Olympiad games introduced by the Sports Directors, promoting physical well-being. – Dr. Satvinder Bedi delivered an inspiring session on the Power of Belief, emphasizing the significance of self-belief in achieving success. Conclusion The MCA Induction Program at GNIMS concluded with closing remarks by the directors, marking the successful beginning of a promising educational journey for the MCA batch of 2023-2025. The program provided students with valuable insights, skills, and motivation, setting the stage for a rewarding academic year ahead. We wish the students every success in their endeavors.

GYANVARDHINI – SESSION 3 On 25 Aug 2023, Gyanvardhini took to its third session with Dr. Jayant Brahmane on action.   He explained 5S is designed to decrease waste while optimizing productivity through maintaining an orderly workplace and using visual cues to attain more consistent operational results.   The 5Ss stand for Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain. Emphasis was given to Red Tag Strategy, implementation and methodology.

GYANVARDHINI – SESSION 3 Dr Sameer Phanse today discussed Sampling, where methodology decides methods and explained the logic behind choosing any method for that matter.   He addressed the faculty at GNIMS with their Questions and Answers in between the session and made an impact in shaping the thought process of Sampling being a technique in a survey method. He also touched upon examples explaining Inductive and Deductive methods. Ask us now what’s a quantitative and qualitative method of selection.   It was a constructive and lively session.

He reiterated the importance of publication in management education. He also touched upon important topics like pre publication review, predatory journals , research misconduct and principles of authorship. It was a lively and interactive session.
